Surgical Gastroenterologist- Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Surgeon Dr Chihaka completed his fellowship training in Surgical Gastroenterology (Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery) at University of Cape Town in 2018. He completed his MBCHB in 2004 and MMED Surgery in 2009 at the University of Zimbabwe College of Health sciences. He has worked as a General surgeon at Parirenyatwa Group of hospitals, a tertiary referral hospital in Zimbabwe. He also worked in the College of Health Sciences as a
lecture in the department of Surgery from 2012 to 2020. He is also a Basic science faculty member in the College of Surgeons for East Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). He is the first Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgeon in Zimbabwe. He is currently in full time private practice. He has special interest in advanced Laparoscopic surgery. He is a member of the Surgical Society of Zimbabwe (SSZ), Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association of Southern Africa (HPBSA) and Europe-Africa Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association (E-A-HPBA) and the International Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association (IHPBA)
