Dr Wendy T. Su

Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatric Surgery
Dr. Wendy Su is board-certified in both General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. She also underwent specialty fellowship training in pediatric surgical oncology. Her practice focused on both thoracoscopic and laparoscopic pediatric surgical procedures. She has a special interest in single incision laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Su works as faculty at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and at Stanford Children’s Health partner hospital John Muir Medical Center, where she serves the role of pediatric surgery division chief. Dr. Su received her MD degree at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed General Surgery Residency at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. She obtained further training in pediatric surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, followed by Pediatric General Surgery Fellowship at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Prior to joining Stanford Faculty, Dr. Su spent 10 years at UCSF Benioff Children Hospital as an attending surgeon and the site director for the UCSF-East Bay General Surgery Residency Program until 2018. She also volunteered as a physician mentor for the UC Berkeley Undergraduate Field Study Internship program since 2015. Dr. Su extends her MIS practice to include single incision laparoscopic procedures whenever feasible. She also enjoys baking, reading, and exploring nature.
